ABOUT TONIKA CAREY
Tonika Carey is a Bahamian Fashion Designer whose island chic style reflects the beauty of her homeland, Nassau, The Bahamas. She developed her design talents under the wings of her mother, a renowned Bahamian designer. Tonika studied fashion design in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as well as in Milan, Italy at Politecnico Di Milano, and is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology New York.
Tonika’s career started at a leading fabric manufacturer in Milan, Italy designing prints for well-known brands around Europe and North America. After her design experience in Italy, she returned to New York and worked with a popular accessories design company known for their prints and silk scarfs. Tonika’s education and experiences coupled with her rich Bahamian heritage, ignited a passion for her design of bold prints and unique patterns which is evident in her collection.
